At KDI Wealth Management, our clients' success is powered by our dedicated team. Behind every engagement, every innovation, and every success are unique individuals driven by passion, purpose, and personal journeys. Our "Getting to Know You" blog series aims to pull back the curtain and introduce you to the remarkable team members who bring our firm to life.

Travel has always been one of my greatest passions, an experience that ignites my sense of adventure and deepens my connection with the world and my family. Every journey holds the promise of discovery—whether it’s exploring a bustling city brimming with vibrant culture or retreating to a serene natural wonder. For me, traveling is far more than an escape; it is an enriching way to embrace new perspectives, share meaningful time with loved ones, and step beyond the familiar.
One of the most exciting aspects of traveling is the opportunity to immerse myself in new cultures. Each destination has its own unique language, traditions, and flavors waiting to be discovered. I love walking through local markets, sampling foods I’ve never tasted before, and engaging with people whose lives are so different from my own. There’s an unmistakable thrill in uncovering the stories behind historical landmarks, the way a dish reflects a region’s history, or how the rhythm of a city tells a tale all its own. These experiences expand my worldview, teaching me to appreciate the diversity and richness of the world.
Travel also profoundly transforms my perspective. When I step outside my day-to-day environment, I gain insights into other ways of living and thinking. It’s humbling to see how others thrive in circumstances I might find challenging, or to witness the joy people derive from simple, meaningful traditions. These moments challenge me to reflect on my own values and routines, often leading me to adopt a fresh appreciation for what I have and what I can learn. Travel stretches my horizons, encouraging me to think beyond my immediate surroundings and embrace a more global understanding.
Most importantly, travel is a deeply bonding experience for my family. Whether we’re hiking a rugged trail, marveling at an ancient ruin, or simply relaxing by the sea, the memories we create together on our journeys are some of the most cherished moments of my life. Away from the demands of work, school, and daily chores, my husband, children, and I are free to simply enjoy each other’s company. These trips allow us to focus on laughter, adventure, and connection, strengthening our relationships in a way few other experiences can.
There’s something magical about experiencing a new destination as a family. Watching my family’s eyes light up when they see something awe-inspiring for the first time fills me with joy. Sharing these moments with my husband deepens our partnership as we navigate unfamiliar places and savor unforgettable sights together. The memories we build on these trips become stories we recount for years, bonding us even more tightly as a family.
Ultimately, my love of travel stems from its ability to make me feel alive, curious, and connected. It is a gift that teaches me to appreciate the vastness of the world, challenges me to grow, and gives my family moments of togetherness that are priceless. Every trip is an invitation to adventure, learn, and love more deeply, and for that, I will always cherish the opportunity to travel.
Much like my love for travel, being the President of KDI Wealth Management is a journey of discovery, connection, and growth. Leading our firm requires embracing diverse perspectives, navigating challenges with curiosity, and finding joy in both the big milestones and small moments of progress. Just as travel broadens my horizons and strengthens my family bonds, guiding KDI allows me to forge meaningful relationships, uncover new opportunities, and build a legacy of care and excellence. Both pursuits remind me of the importance of stepping beyond the familiar, embracing adventure, and cherishing the experiences that shape our lives and those we touch.
