What is KDI’s Fee?

We believe great relationships begin with clarity. KDI is compensated through a transparent, blended advisory fee based on assets under management. The fee is tiered and declines as assets increase, ensuring that as your wealth grows, your effective rate decreases.

Our advisory relationship extends well beyond portfolio oversight. It includes comprehensive financial planning, tax coordination with your CPA, estate strategy in collaboration with your attorney, risk management review, and ongoing wealth stewardship. We are structured to serve as a long-term partner in your financial life.

For select engagements, particularly complex planning projects, we may structure a separate planning fee based on scope.

What is the minimum investment to qualify for KDI’s services?

We typically work with households who have $5 million or more in investable assets. That said, we view wealth as more than a number. Many of our clients are business owners, executives, and multi-generational families whose needs require thoughtful coordination across investments, tax planning, estate structures, and legacy considerations.
In certain cases, we also advise family members or next-generation clients connected to existing relationships, particularly when part of a broader family wealth strategy. Our focus is not on asset thresholds; it is on meaningful relationships and delivering enduring value.

Does KDI Work with Cryptocurrency / Bitcoin?

For clients interested in digital assets or other emerging areas, exposure — if suitable — is accessed exclusively through federally registered investment vehicles or regulated platforms that meet our due diligence, custody, and compliance standards. We do not directly custody or speculate in unregulated markets. Any allocation to alternatives is considered within the context of liquidity needs, tax sensitivity, long-term objectives, and overall risk alignment.

Our role is not to chase trends, but to evaluate opportunities through a disciplined, strategic lens, always with your broader wealth plan at the center.
